Stress can not exist in the presence of any dessert.
A lot of people’s comfort lies in the existence of cakes, chocolates, coffee drinks, and anything sweet. One place in General Santos shelters all these comfort food – Drey’s Kitchen + Cafe.
It is the newest dessert shop and cafe that offers your favorite guilty pleasures such as cheesecakes, cookies, chocolate cakes, chocolate drinks, coffee drinks and the likes. Every coffee aficionado will go gaga over this new shop in General Santos City.
However, Drey’s Kitchen+Cafe isn’t entirely new. They dominated social media with their cake jars that became a hit in the past years. They’re that amazing that their Instagram page became a tangible dessert shop and cafe.
Drey’s Kitchen+Cafe opened last July 11, 2017, on the second floor of AB Star Suites at Manga Street corner of National Highway.
They offer one of Gensan’s best oreo matcha cheesecakes, Red Velvet cakes, and their ultimate seller – Kahlua Mousse Cake.
If you’re a fan of cheesecakes then this place is your heaven. They also serve delicious coffee and frappuccino. So, for coffee aficionados, you should not miss the chance to try a sip of their concoction of coffee drinks.
If you’re planning an extra special date, then go to their place. The ambiance is refreshing and the place is lovely and cute.
If you’re broken hearted, a slice of their cake might ease the pain. *wink*

The Voyager’s Experience
I love the interior. The place is beautiful because the color scheme reminds you of coffee and chocolate cakes. I think it is a coffee inspired color scheme.
The ceiling is high, the place is well-lit, the place is clean, and the crew is ever so welcoming despite the fact that we were the last people before closing time.
No one likes a grumpy service crew but their crew is ever so patient, attentive and friendly.
For the food, their Puttanesca is a must try for their pasta.
I also love their chocolate oreo drink and dark chocolate mocha. Disclaimer: I can’t remember the exact name of the drink.
It’s just heaven for me because they offer different flavors of cheesecake. I’m a big fan of cheesecakes. We wanted to try their Kahlua Mousse cake or their oreo matcha cheesecake but all their cakes were sold out when we got there. Sad.
On our visit, we got two slices of salted caramel cheesecake. Though their cheesecake’s base isn’t as crisp as I prefer, we still managed to devour two slices in an estimated time of five to ten minutes.
If you want to enjoy a treat from all the stress and just enjoy a slice of cake with a cup of coffee then visit Drey’s Kitchen + Cafe. Your trip is worth it!
