Every once in a while we look for a place to relax from work and just unwind. We look for a kind of chill where we can just drink a bottle of beer or have a sip of wine.
We all look for a place where we can just let our minds drift off from all the responsibilities at work. Luckily, a place in General Santos City offers the kind of place we look for.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place away from the bustling city, visit Cafe La Vie En Rose at Nunez Street, Barangay San Isidro.
It’s one of the secluded cafes you can go to if you want a peaceful night with your choice of poison on hand. You can order frappe, coffee, cocktails and other drinks that can surely calm your nerves.
Cafe La Vie En Rose is an extension to Cube Bar and Bistro. While Cube Bar and Bistro is a place for people who’d like to have a drinking marathon, Cafe La Vie En Rose is the opposite.
How to Get There
Cafe La Vie En Rose’s nearest landmark is Savemore Market at Malakas. It’s far from General Santos’ downtown. However, you can take a ride from SM City Mall to Malakas Public Market. Drop at Malakas Public Market and take a tricycad ride to Cafe La Vie En Rose. The estimated fare would be P20.
If you don’t find it convenient to take two rides, you can opt to pay a tricycle driver at least P20-30 if you’re going to the cafe alone. But, if you’re taking a ride with other people, a ten-peso ride would suffice to take you there.
How Much Will You Spend
Cafe La Vie En Rose not only is a secluded and quiet place to chill, it is also one of the most budget friendly cafes in Gensan. Their menus can range up to P40 to P150 only.
Their canned juices and sodas cost P40 and their coffee ranges up to P85 to P130 only. Their sandwiches cost P100 and their pasta costs P120 to P150.
It is one of the cafes in Gensan that offers cocktails as a part of their menu. If you’re feeling a need for an alcoholic kick in your system, you can try their daquiris or you can buy a bottle of wine at P450.
You can also order food from Cube Bar and Bistro if you’re not willing to devour a heavy meal such as their pasta and sandwiches.
The Voyager’s Experience
I always see the Cube Bar and Bistro over social media before. I really never expected to see a cafe next to it. Originally, our plan was to go to Cube Bar but then settled to have a chill night at Cafe La Vie En Rose. We really weren’t looking for a beer session so we decided to chill there.
The ambience is really cool. It is a peaceful place to chill especially as it is far from the business district of the city.
The food was nice and the drinks were great. I would like to highlight their cocktails and their food presentation. It is very commendable. The food also has a huge serving despite it’s cheap price.
