JT’s Manukan Grille: A Taste of Bacolod Inasal in Davao

If you want to have an authentic and original taste of Bacolod’s famous chicken inasal in Davao, then head to Damosa Gateway, Damosa Complex in Lanang. Unlike any other barbecue grille restaurants in Davao City, JT’s Manukan Grille is special. Why?

JT’s Manukan Grille is owned by none other than Joel Torre. Joel Torre is a famous actor in the Philippines that starred in many movies both indie and not. As he started his career as a restaurateur, he chose the signature dish that is most close to him as a Negrense – chicken inasal.

JT’s Manukan Grille brings Bacolod’s famous dish in Mindanao. It is the first outlet in Mindanao and hopefully more will flock out across the land. There are around 22 outlets all over the Philippines.

The restaurant is set in an alfresco setting resembling the common ambiance of inasal outlets found in Bacolod City. They also have an air conditioning area, too.

They serve Filipino favorites other than chicken inasal such as liempo, sisig, pork, and pork and chicken innard barbecue and more. And like any other inasal restaurants in the Philippines they serve unlimited rice, too.

Their chicken inasal is cooked in Ilonggo manner and hypes your sense of taste. The chicken is deeply marinated with flavorful sauce grilled perfectly. The chicken meat is tender and juicy while the chicken’s skin is crispy but not burnt. Lather it with dripping chicken anatto oil and pair it with cups of rice. Dinner is perfect with JT’s Manukan.

How To Get There

If you’re commuting, take a jeepney ride going to Damosa IT Park. Once you reach the IT Park, take a walk going to Damosa Gateway. It is a complex where different food stalls are located. You know you’re in the right place if you see Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Davao.

How Much Will You Spend

A dish of their chicken inasal depending on the chicken part costs around PHP115-125. This is without costing in the unlimited rice. There will be an additional P30 for the cost of the unlimited rice. A total of around P150 for an umami-filled chicken dinner with JT’s will do.
